2026 PASS Data Community Summit – Encouraging new(ish) Speakers

GREAT NEWS! For the fourth time, this year’s PASS Data Community Summit (West) in Seattle (November 9-11) offers additional session slots (75 Minute General Sessions) for Speakers that only recently started with public speaking and have not yet had any experiences presenting at a larger conference.

We are looking for those of you that either became a speaker too late to be part of the regular Call for Speakers or that didn’t submit because they feel like they need a little extra support.

How will this work?

We are reserving one session slot per Conference Day for this initiative. Selected speakers will receive a full conference ticket for PASS Summit West 2026 (Seattle, November 9-11, limited to 1 pass per session!). We are providing mentoring and support to make sure your first session on the grand stage will be a success!

Who qualifies for this?

You must have presented at another event before (Data Saturdays, SQL Saturdays, Usergroups, DataGrillen, Data Scotland, Dataminds Connect, New Stars of Data, Data Weekender etc.), but you must not have taken the stage at a large international event (rough guideline: events with less than 750 attendees are OK). If you have also submitted a session through the regular Call for Speakers, your application will only be considered if your regular application did not make the cut.

Can I present virtually?

NO – You must be willing and able to present in-person in Seattle. Travel and accommodation are not paid for by the event.

I have more questions!

Not sure if you qualify? Want to discuss something before submitting or have another question? Please reach out to Ben directly (ben@datagrillen.com).

Where can I submit my session(s)?

Submissions are open through June 28th at 23:59:59 PST and must happen through the official submission form.
